After an unexpected two days of wind we are happy to share we had incredible success on our pop-up July demos in Jupiter Beach this summer season!
A lot of you showed up ready to kite, learn and spend some time in the water, we saw a lot of familiar faces as well as some new ones. And our biggest takeaway was the impact of community on the sport!
Our host Thomas Souza shares his thoughts with us: βWhen I saw the forecast, it looked messy, but I knew it was either going to be a stormy day, or clear skies and 5 knots more than the forecast. Once it picked up, I had the car loaded and ready for an epic day! Set up was quick and I even managed to get a quick session in on the 9m Harlem Thrive before other Kiters showed up.

Once the demo officially started it showed how important it is to be ready for the wind, a few of the 5-10 year old kites people had were leaking and because of this they had to size up to way too big for the wind, thanks to the demo I got them on the water with the right equipment, giving them a taste of how far the sport has come in recent years.
We had about 4 hours of 20 knots + perfect conditions to try out the 9 and 10m kites, the Thrive 12m was a beast at 23 knots though, the kite loves power and just wants more. The locals convinced me to get back in the water on the 12 before breaking down the demo βgo out on the 12 Tomas we wanna see you flyββ
Hosting a last minute demo like this is certainly not easy but when the wind comes out so do we, we are incredibly grateful for everyone that came out to check out our new gear, we have been very excited about the launches in our stores and we are looking forward to getting to know more of you at the beach as the wind season approaches.
