The Drifter Project | Miami – April 23–24, 2026

The Newfound Freedom Project, now known as the Drifter Project, is a global initiative created by Cabrina in collaboration with Estuary Brewing Company. The mission is simple: introduce people with physical challenges to the life-changing experience of wind-powered watersports like kiteboarding, winging, and foiling.

Through hands-on instructional events led by Cabrinha athletes and experienced coaches, participants are given the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills, and experience the freedom that wind sports provide.

In 2026, the program is coming to Miami on April 23–24, bringing the initiative to South Florida and giving participants the chance to experience wind-powered watersports in one of the world’s most iconic kiteboarding destinations.

A Community-Driven Initiative

Since its launch, the project has hosted events in major wind sport locations including Charleston, Miami, and Hood River, bringing together athletes, instructors, and local communities to introduce participants to the sport in a supportive environment.

The Miami event will continue that mission with guided sessions designed to build confidence, develop skills, and share the excitement of being on the water.
